1 dead after rollover crash on Highway 101 near SFO

(KRON) -- A man died after a rollover crash involving two vehicles on southbound Highway 101 near the San Francisco International Airport on-ramp Wednesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol Redwood City area office. CHP Redwood City said officers received reports of the crash at 6:59 p.m. on southbound Highway 101, just south of the SFO on-ramp. Investigators said a Toyota Camry overturned multiple times during the collision. When officers arrived, they found the male driver on the roadway. According to CHP, the driver suffered serious injuries because he was not wearing a seat belt. He was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured, CHP said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. CHP said the scene was cleared Thursday night.
