1 dead after e-bike crash on I-70 in Denver
DENVER (KDVR) -- One person was killed in a crash involving an e-bike on Interstate 70 in Denver. The Denver Police Department said the crash happened on eastbound I-70 near Steele Street on Thursday. The crash involved an e-bike and a motorist. Police said officers were apparently attempting to stop the bicyclist for "hazardous traffic violations" when the bicyclist went on the highway in an attempt to elude the officers. The bicyclist was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing. DPD is conducting an internal review of this incident per protocol.
