1 dead after crash on State Street in Schenectady
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- One person is dead following an overnight crash in Schenectady on Sunday, according to the Schenectady Police Department. The incident reportedly occurred in the 400 block of State Street. The department said officers were on routine patrol at about 12:37 a.m. when a car crashed into the Transfinder headquarters building at 440 State Street. The driver was reportedly treated on scene before being taken to a local area hospital, where he later died from his injuries. An investigation remains active and ongoing into the crash, according to police.
