1 dead, 3 injured after head-on crash in Manassas, police say
MANASSAS, Va. (DC News Now) -- Police are investigating after a head-on crash left one person dead and three others injured in Manassas on Saturday. Prince William County police said officers responded to the deadly crash in the area of Sudley Road and Campus Drive just minutes before 3 p.m. on Feb. 28. At the scene, investigators learned that Susan Minor, 74, of Manassas City, was driving a Toyota Camry north on Sudley Road at "a high rate of speed" while trying to pass a vehicle when she struck a concrete median, according to police. After striking the median, Minor's car was redirected into oncoming traffic, where it slammed into a 2017 Honda CRV. Minor died from her injuries at the hospital. Meanwhile, crews took the driver of the CRV and two passengers to area hospitals with serious injuries, police said. As the investigation continues, officials urge anyone with information regarding what led up to the crash to contact the Prince William County Police Department at 703-792-6500 or submit a tip online.
