1 dead, 3 injured after boat crash at Stokes Bluff Landing
HAMPTON COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) — One person is dead and three others are injured following a boat crash in the area of Stokes Bluff Landing Sunday evening. WSAV confirmed that two boats, carrying four people total, were involved in a crash just before 6 p.m. According to the Effingham County Sheriff's Office (ECSO), three people were taken to the hospital with injuries. After four hours of searching for the fourth person, ECSO reported their body was found in the water. ECSO, Effingham County Fire Department (ECFD), the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (GA DNR), the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SC DNR), the Jasper County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) and the Hampton County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) responded to the scene.
