1 dead, 1 injured in 2-car crash in Lane County
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — One person died and another was injured after a two-car crash in Lane County on Thursday night, authorities said. Sarah Rachel Pratt, 55, of Lowell, was pronounced dead at the scene after a crash involving the dark green Toyota Camry she was driving and another car, Oregon State Police said. At 11:40 p.m., troopers responded to reports of the crash on Highway 58 near milepost 12. The investigation indicated Pratt's Toyota was turning onto Hwy 58 from a gravel road when an eastbound dark green Ford F-150 struck the Toyota on the driver's side door as it was entering the eastbound lane. The 51-year-old Ford driver was not injured. However, an adult passenger of the Ford was reportedly minorly injured and taken to a local hospital. The highway was impacted for two hours during OSP's investigation, which was assisted by the Eugene-Springfield Fire Department, the Lowell Rural Fire Protection District and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
