1 dead, 1 injured after head-on DUI Crash in Auburn
One person was killed and another was injured in a head-on crash in Auburn on Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP said the crash happened on Foresthill Road around 5:45 p.m. and involved a Toyota Corolla and Toyota Tacoma. Online traffic logs indicate the crash happened near Lake Clementine Road. The Tacoma driver crashed into the Corolla, which had three people inside of it. One of the passengers in the Corolla died in the crash, officials said. The driver of the Corolla was taken to the hospital after suffering major injuries. A child was also in the Corolla but survived the crash, according to CHP. The driver of the Tacoma was arrested for DUI. Foresthill Road is closed between Lincoln Way and Old Foresthill Road.
