1 dead, 1 hospitalized in 2-car crash in Harnett County: NCSHP
SPRING LAKE, N.C. (WNCN) — A two-car crash in Harnett County Tuesday evening left one driver dead and the other hurt, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said. According to NCSHP, the two vehicles collided around 5:40 p.m. on N.C. 210 South at Overhills Road near Spring Lake. An investigation determined that one car was crossing over to N.C. 210 from Overhills Road when it pulled into the path of a second car heading towards Spring Lake on the highway, according to NCSHP. Troopers said the driver of the car going to Spring Lake died in the crash. The driver of the car coming from Overhills Road was sent to the hospital. No passengers were in either car, according to the NCSHP. The crash remains under investigation. As of Tuesday night, no charges have been filed.
