Woman killed after being hit by car while walking on FM 1541 in Randall County
A woman was killed after being hit by a car while walking on FM 1541 in Randall County on Sunday night. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at about 10:44 p.m., about two miles south of State Loop 335. The investigation determined a 1997 Lexus was traveling north on FM 1541 while a pedestrian, identified as Kayla Frizzell, 26, of Amarillo, was walking in the northbound lane. The driver of the Lexus was not able to see the pedestrian until it was too late and hit her. Frizzell was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of her injuries.
