Woman from Shell Knob killed in deadly crash in Barry County
In Barry County, Missouri, a tragic car accident occurred on Saturday, Dec. 27, resulting in the death of a woman and serious injuries to a man. As reported by the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a 2004 Jeep Wrangler was heading west on Missouri Highway 86 when it veered over the center line into oncoming traffic. The Jeep then swerved back, went off the road, and flipped over. Sadly, the 74-year-old female passenger from Shell Knob passed away at the crash site, while the 45-year-old male driver was airlifted by Life Line Air Medical Services to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for severe injuries. This incident marks the 127th traffic fatality for MSHP Troop D in 2025.
