Woman from Hemet arrested for DUI following Wildomar collision resulting in fatality and critical injury

A Hemet woman was taken into custody after reportedly driving while intoxicated and causing a fatal collision in Wildomar late Monday night. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. near Clinton Keith Road and Palomar Street as confirmed by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. Authorities responded to discover a victim in the road with severe injuries, but unfortunately, despite rescue efforts, the individual, identified as Debra Amicay, aged 56, succumbed to her injuries at the location. Another injured party, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was rescued from their vehicle and transported to a nearby medical facility in critical condition. The investigation into the crash was assumed by the Lake Elsinore Station's Traffic Team, leading to the arrest of the alleged driver, a 33-year-old Hemet resident named Erica Machuca, for driving under the influence resulting in injury and death. Machuca was detained and placed in custody at the Cois Byrd Detention Center.
