Woman ejected from motorcycle, struck by big-rig in Interstate 80 crash
(FOX40.COM) — A Sacramento woman was killed Thursday on Interstate 80 in Davis after being ejected from the motorcycle she was riding on. The crash happened around 2:38 p.m. Thursday on eastbound I-80 east of Richards Boulevard. Video: Mid-80s Friday, temperatures continue to increase into Mother's Day The 40-year-old woman, who has not been identified, was the passenger on a 2016 Suzuki motorcycle, California Highway Patrol said. The motorcycle, driven by a 40-year-old Sacramento man, collided into the back of a pickup truck that slowed to a near stop as it approached slower traffic in front of it. The motorcycle driver attempted to stop, CHP said. The woman was ejected from the motorcycle and into another lane, where she was hit by a big-rig and killed. No one else was injured. All involved parties remained at the scene and no arrests have been made. Alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected factors.
