Woman dies in multi-vehicle crash in Circleville
CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio (WCMH) – A woman is dead after a multiple car crash in Pickaway County on Thursday afternoon. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at the intersection of U.S. Route 23 and Circle Lane in Circleville at approximately 1:38 p.m. A 2017 Hyundai Tucson, driven by Marilyn Gregg, was driving north on U.S. 23 waiting to turn left onto Circle Lane. A 2018 Toyota Corolla was driving south on U.S. 23 followed by a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado. Police said the Tucson failed to yield while turning, hitting the Corolla and then the Silverado; the Tucson was then pushed by the Silverado into a ditch. A 2020 Hyundai Sonata that was waiting at the traffic light at the intersection was hit by debris from the crash. Gregg, the only person hurt in the crash, was taken to Berger Hospital before being flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, where she was later pronounced dead. The crash remains under investigation.
