Woman accused in fatal Rogers crash involving 11-year-old victim
The Rogers Police Department has reported that a woman has been arrested in connection with a tragic accident that resulted in the death of an 11-year-old earlier this year in Rogers, Ark. According to a recent press release by RPD, Katie White, 25, the stepmother of the victim, allegedly permitted the child to run beside the vehicle she was driving in a parking lot near the intersection of South 47th Street and West Poplar Street. Tragically, during this incident, the child fell and was ultimately struck by the vehicle. Despite efforts to save the child's life, they were later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Following an investigation, White has been charged with first-degree domestic battery, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a minor. She is currently detained at the Benton County Detention Center with no bond set.
