Woman accused in deadly ambulance crash on Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem police report
A woman in Winston-Salem has been charged in connection to a tragic incident last month where an ambulance was involved in a fatal crash. The incident occurred on March 11th when a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee collided with the ambulance on Silas Creek Parkway, resulting in the death of a 92-year-old patient named Omer Nicholas Pope, Jr. The driver of the Jeep, identified as 52-year-old Diane Langford, was charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and failure to maintain lane control. The investigation is still ongoing as authorities continue to gather information about the incident.
