Wichita police arrest woman in fatal hit-and-run crash

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Police made an arrest Tuesday connected to a fatal crash that happened in west Wichita. The Wichita Police Department said in a press release that officers took a 25-year-old woman into custody. The release said she will be booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on a possible charge of felony hit-and-run resulting in death. Officers have been searching for the driver since Friday night, when 38-year-old Kristina Kramer Rogers was found critically hurt near Taft Avenue and Leonine Road, just north of Kellogg Avenue. Rogers later died at the hospital. The case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office for charges.
