Wheatland woman killed in wrong-way crash with semi on Highway 13 near Bolivar
BOLIVAR, Mo. — A Wheatland woman died Saturday morning after a crash with a semitruck on Missouri 13 near Bolivar. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the crash happened at 9:50 a.m. Saturday, April 25, on Missouri 13 about a half-mile south of Bolivar. MSHP said a 2018 Nissan Altima driven by a 48-year-old Wheatland woman was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when it struck a 2025 Peterbilt. The woman was taken to Citizens Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 10:49 a.m. by Dr. Carel, according to the report. Next of kin have been notified. It is unknown if she was wearing a seat belt. As of 3 p.m., northbound traffic on Missouri 13 is being diverted at Route KK, south of Bolivar. Southbound Missouri 13 remains open to normal traffic. The crash marks Troop D’s 39th fatality of 2026.
