Video captures chaotic moments leading up to fatal plane crash

A recent video shared with 6 News captured the final moments of a mid-sized jet before it crashed in a wooded area in Bath Township. The tragic incident resulted in the loss of all three individuals on board. According to FAA data, a Hawker 800 XP aircraft departed from Battle Creek, initially heading south before changing course and flying north just east of Lansing. The plane ultimately went down near the junction of Clark and Peacock Road on state-owned land north of Rose Lake. A resident in the area, Carrie Sieffert, witnessed the aircraft spiraling out of control, with the unsettling sight prompting her to capture a video of the occurrence. The crash is currently under investigation by the FAA and NTSB, with no official statements regarding the cause yet released. The jet, bearing registration number XA-JMR and affiliated with Condor Air LLC based in Westlake Village, California, had been undergoing maintenance at Battle Creek Executive Airport. Duncan Aviation, responsible for the maintenance, expressed their condolences and commitment to assisting authorities in the investigation.
