Victim identified in fatal York County motorcycle crash
YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)-- The York County Coroner's Office identified the victim in Wednesday's motorcycle crash. The coroner's office responded to the intersection of Carlisle Street and Eisenhower Drive at 5:39 a.m. on Wednesday for a fatal motorcycle crash. The rider was identified as Jacob Mummert, 20, of Hanover, Adams County, according to the coroner. The coroner's office cited witnesses who claimed Mummert was operating a motorcycle northbound on Carlisle Street when they failed to stop at the red light, striking a trailer being hauled by a truck that was turning left onto Eisenhower Drive. The coroner's office ruled the manner of death as an accident. The roadway was shut down for hours following the crash. The Hanover Borough Police Department is investigating the crash.
