Victim identified in fatal Franklin County crash
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)-- One person died after a multi-vehicle crash in Franklin County last week. Pennsylvania State Police said Troopers responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Black Gap Road at the intersection with Byers Road in Greene Township at 6:18 a.m. on April 15. Troopers said a Toyota was traveling east on Byers Road, while a Chevrolet was traveling north on Black Gap Road. The driver of the Toyota reportedly stopped at the intersection before entering it, striking the Chevrolet. Both vehicles spun out of control, with the Chevrolet ending up in the grass off the roadway, Troopers said. The driver of the Toyota was uninjured. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center following the crash. State Police confirmed the driver of the Chevrolet, identified as 48-year-old Shane Sneary of Waynesboro, died following the crash.
