Vehicle crashes into pole in Pittsburgh's Garfield neighborhood

A vehicle crashed into a utility pole in Pittsburgh's Garfield neighborhood Thursday night.Neighbors on Schenley Avenue told Pittsburgh's Action News 4 that they heard the crash and a transformer catching fire.Photos from the scene on Schenley Avenue showed wires down and the pole split in two.At one point, Duquesne Light's outage map was reporting over 2,000 customers without power in the area.Power had been restored for most customers as of 11 p.m.Download the WTAE app to stay connected with breaking news.
