Vehicle collides with liquor store in Putnam
A driver in Putnam was given a citation after striking a building early Saturday morning. The incident occurred when a 29-year-old driver lost control of her 2005 Toyota Rav 4 at 6:40 a.m., veering off the road and colliding with Sunny Discount Liquor on 150 Providence Street. Building and fire authorities reported substantial damage to the store, which will be closed for repairs. The driver was cited for driving too fast given the conditions. Both passengers in the Toyota opted not to be taken to the hospital.
