Travel in the eastbound direction on the U.S. 60 in Apache Junction has been halted following a tragic accident on Monday morning. The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported that a woman lost her life in a crash near Silly Mountain, resulting in the closure of the eastbound lanes at Mountain View Road.
