Update: Names released in fatal Nebraska plane crash

FREMONT, NE (KELO) -- Authorities have released the names of the three people killed in a weekend plane crash in eastern Nebraska. Their small plane went down into the Platte River south of Fremont, Nebraska Friday night. The victims have been identified as Jeff Bittinger and Randy Amrein from Fremont and Daniel Williams who is from Kansas. The investigation into the cause of the crash has been turned over to the National Transportation Safety Board, which will release a preliminary report within 30 days.
