Two young women from Telangana, Pullakhandam Meghana Rani and Kadiyala Bhavana, both 24, tragically lost their lives in a car accident in California while returning from a trip with friends. The incident has left their families and community deeply saddened. Meghana, fondly referred to as Chikki, and Bhavana were close friends and roommates in California as they pursued their dreams post completing their Master's degrees. Meghana's father, Nageshwara Rao, operates a Mee-Seva center in Garla, while Bhavana's father is the Deputy Sarpanch of Mulkanoor village. Authorities in the US are investigating the accident, and efforts are being made to repatriate their remains to India. A GoFundMe page has been created to assist Meghana's family with the repatriation expenses.
