Two pedestrians killed in Brevard County accident: FHP

A tragic incident occurred in Brevard County on Sunday night, resulting in the death of two pedestrians, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP). The crash occurred at approximately 8 p.m. at North Courtenay Parkway and Grove Boulevard in Merritt Island. It was revealed that a 1991 Lincoln Town Car traveling southbound hit the pedestrians who were walking in an eastwardly direction outside of a marked crosswalk. Unfortunately, the pedestrians, a 62-year-old man from Cocoa and a 60-year-old woman from Palm Bay, lost their lives in the collision. Thankfully, the driver and passenger in the car were unharmed and cooperated with authorities at the crash site. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
