Two kids dead, driver detained post-Christmas collision in North L.A. County

Details revealed that a parked gold Toyota RAV4, with occupants waiting inside, was rear-ended by a blue Nissan Rogue traveling in the same direction, occupied by two adults and six minors. The crash resulted in the ejection of three minors from the Nissan, leading to the unfortunate passing of two minors despite emergency assistance at the scene. The driver of the Nissan, Jorge Preciado, was arrested on suspicion of felony child endangerment. The California Highway Patrol extended condolences to the families affected and urged the public to prioritize child safety seats for utmost protection.
