Trotwood marching band suffers second fatal crash in 2 months
In Dayton, Ohio, the Trotwood Madison High School marching band is grieving the loss of Te'Auna Ellison and her mother, Deona Ellison, who were tragically killed in a multi-vehicle crash on East Main Street. The band boosters and school principal have been offering their condolences, with additional mental health support being provided to students and staff. This marks the second loss for the band in recent months, following the death of dance coach Natia Scroggins in another crash. Witness accounts of the incident suggest it was an unusual occurrence in the area. Lt. Dallas Root of the Ohio State Highway Patrol emphasized the importance of defensive driving to prevent head-on collisions like the one that took Te'Auna and Deona Ellison's lives.
