Trial date scheduled for driver in fatal MCTS bus crash

A trial has been set for Montrell Pharm, the Milwaukee County bus driver charged in a deadly accident on Christmas. Initially, a plea hearing was planned for July 24, but it was postponed. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. at 47th and Villard, involving a Milwaukee County Transit System bus. The collision resulted in the death of 79-year-old Robert Clemons and injured another individual. Surveillance footage indicated that Pharm may have been nodding off before the crash. Court records have shown that Pharm previously had an accident in October 2024. An official pre-trial session is slated for Oct. 15, with the jury trial set for Jan. 12, 2026.
