Train, car involved in crash on Indy’s near east side

INDIANAPOLIS — An investigation is underway after a train collided with a car on Indy's near east side Sunday morning. According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, just before 6 a.m., officers responded to a collision near East Michigan and North Pine Streets. A FOX59/CBS4 crew at the scene captured video of a damaged red Toyota being removed from the train tracks. IMPD has not yet confirmed if anybody was injured in the crash. As of this article's publication, police were still actively investigating the crash. This is a developing story. It will be updated when new information has been made available.
