Deadly collision claims one life in Kansas
A tragic rollover crash in Montgomery County claimed the life of a young man from Caney earlier this week. The incident, which occurred on U.S. Highway 75 near County Road 3600, resulted in a car catching fire. The driver, identified as 21-year-old Heath Ellis, was found inside the vehicle after the flames were extinguished. The crash, where Ellis's 2024 Kia left the road, overturned, hit a culvert, and caught fire, is currently being investigated by authorities. Sadly, Ellis was pronounced dead at the scene. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office issued a statement expressing condolences to the Ellis family and urging the community to allow them privacy to mourn without speculating on the accident's cause.
