Two teenagers tragically lost their lives in a collision involving a semi-truck just outside Rogersville at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2008 Mercury Mariner SUV, carrying three teens, was heading north on Porter Crossing Road towards a median crossover with U.S. Highway 60. The driver attempted to cross the westbound lanes of U.S. 60 when the SUV was hit by a semi-truck at the intersection. The 17-year-old driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The semi-truck driver was unharmed.
