Tragic accident claims 2 lives in Lenawee County
A tragic incident occurred in Lenawee County when two individuals lost their lives in a car crash after hitting a tree. Michigan State Police reported that the driver of a gray Chevrolet Trax, an 85-year-old man, experienced a health emergency while driving on US-12 near Wisner Highway in Franklin Township. The driver and his 77-year-old passenger, a woman from Jackson, both succumbed to their injuries following the crash. The driver veered off the road and collided with a tree around 2 p.m. It was determined that the accident was likely caused by the driver's medical emergency, with no involvement of drugs or alcohol.
