Traffic halted on the Verrazzano Bridge
BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Eastbound traffic on the upper level of the Verrazzano Bridge is significantly backed up due to an accident early Friday morning. The incident happened around 6:23 a.m. Fire officials say there was a collision involving two cars and a school bus. Six individuals were taken to local hospitals for treatment. The FDNY did not specify whether there were children on the bus at the time of the accident.
