Traffic Alert: Crashes along northbound and southbound I-15 lead to delays in Salt Lake County
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Multiple crashes are leading to delays on southbound and northbound I-15 across the Wasatch Front. According to the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), there have been several crashes on I-15, leading to significant lane closures and delays. Crews are currently responding to crash on northbound I-15 near 14600 S in Draper. The two left lanes and left shoulder are blocked. Initial estimates state that this should be cleared up around 6:30 p.m., though that may be subject to change. Near 2100 S in Salt Lake City, there were crashes on the northbound and southbound sides of the freeway. On the southbound side, the left lane and left shoulder were both blocked. On the northbound side, the three right lanes were blocked. However, they have both been cleared up. Additionally, there was another crash at southbound I-15 near 5300 South in Murray. It appears that the furthest left lane was blocked, but it has since been cleared up. At this time, officials have not released additional information regarding these crashes. However, it is likely that they will cause delays and travelers should avoid these areas where possible.
