Three people injured in Saturday Kenosha Co. head-on crash
Three people were taken to hospitals after a head-on crash in Wheatland on May 2, according to the Twin Lakes Fire Department and Rescue Squad. The fire department said they were dispatched just after 10 a.m. to the 5700 block of STH 83.When first responders arrived, they found two people lying in the road, one person trapped in a vehicle, and another vehicle fully engulfed in flames, the fire department said. Two medical helicopters from Flight for Life were called in, the fire department said.Firefighters also removed the female trapped inside the vehicle, but it took just under an hour to free her because of the damage.Two people were flown to a Milwaukee hospital and are in critical condition, the fire department said. A third person was driven by an ambulance to a Kenosha hospital and their condition is stable.The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
