Three individuals die after collision in Burnett County: Sheriff’s Office
BURNETT COUNTY - The Burnett County Sheriff's Office released a statement on Monday morning following a truck versus UTV collision over the weekend. On June 27 around 6:30 p.m., Burnett County Dispatch received a report indicating a truck collided with a UTV at the intersection of County Highway A and Connors Bridge Road. Upon arrival, it was reported that a white Dodge pickup truck, traveling west on County Highway A, struck a UTV traveling north on Connors Bridge Road after the UTV failed to stop at the stop sign, entering the path of the truck and resulting in a crash. The driver and two passengers of the UTV were pronounced deceased at the scene. The occupants have been identified as 69-year-old Gary Shreindl, the driver, from Anoka, Minnesota; 68-year-old Constance Klatt of Anoka; and 69-year-old Debra Dye of Lodi, Ohio. The driver of the truck was identified as a 21-year-old man from Webster, Wisconsin. Following the crash, the vehicle caught fire and was later extinguished. The driver was transported to a local medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries. The Wisconsin DNR was contacted to assist with crash reconstruction, and County Highway A remained closed for five hours following the incident. The investigation remains ongoing and no further details were released.
