Three-car accident causes road closure on U.S. 52 in McDowell County
MCDOWELL COUNTY, WV (WVNS) -- A multi-car accident caused a road closure on part of U.S. 52 in McDowell County. According to a post on the McDowell County WV 911 and Office of Emergency Services' Facebook page, a three-car accident occurred on the Landgraff side of Eckman Bridge, causing the road to be completely blocked at this time. McDowell County Dispatch stated that responding agencies included the Kimball Volunteer Fire Department, Keystone Volunteer Fire Department, Northfork Volunteer Fire Department, STAT EMS, Bluefield Rescue Squad, McDowell County Sheriff's Office, and the West Virginia State Police. According to the post, the road may be closed for sometime, and people are advised to use alternate routes such as 103 and 161.
