Teen killed in car accident in Mira Mesa
A tragic incident occurred in Mira Mesa where a teenager was fatally hit by a car on Saturday night, as reported by the San Diego Police Department. The collision took place at the intersection of Camino Ruiz and Hydra Lane around 11:06 p.m. A man driving a 2020 Chevy Traverse northbound on Camino Ruiz struck a 15-year-old boy who was walking in the intersection, although the direction he was walking in is unknown. There is no suspicion of the driver being under the influence, and it was foggy in the area at the time of the accident. The Traffic Division of the SDPD is conducting an investigation into the incident, and if anyone has any information, they are encouraged to contact the authorities or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. A Dense Fog Advisory was issued by the National Weather Service for the western valleys and coastal regions of San Diego County until 9 a.m. on Sunday.
