Teen in Wichita faces charges after car surfing incident
A teenager from Wichita is facing charges following a car surfing incident that resulted in injuries to another teenager. The 16-year-old boy was in court on Wednesday for allegedly causing great bodily harm to a 14-year-old girl. The incident occurred in December on Shelton Avenue, and police responded to find the girl with a head injury. She was in critical condition and taken to the hospital. The boy is being charged as a juvenile, with a pretrial conference set for February 3.
