Teen fatally struck at Long Beach bus stop

A tragic incident occurred in Long Beach, where a 15-year-old boy lost his life after a car accident at a bus stop. On June 11, Long Beach police were called to the scene at Palo Verde Avenue and Carson Street around 3 p.m. According to initial reports, a driver in an Infiniti G37 sedan ran a red light at the intersection, crashing into a Toyota Prius traveling in the opposite direction. The impact caused the Infiniti to flip over and skid onto the sidewalk, hitting the boy who was waiting at the bus stop. The boy was taken to the hospital but unfortunately did not survive. The Infiniti driver sustained injuries but was in stable condition, while the Prius driver was unharmed. Speed is believed to have played a role in the accident, and the investigation is ongoing. Police have not released the boy's identity and are asking anyone with information to reach out to LBPD Detective Ashley Van Holland at 562-570-7355 or L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers.
