Suspected drunk driver causes fatal crash
Tragically, a woman was fatally injured in a collision involving a wrong-way vehicle near Los Gatos. The incident occurred early Sunday morning, when a Toyota Camry traveling in the wrong direction on Highway 17 South collided with a Honda Del Sol and a Honda Civic near Santa Cruz Avenue. The Camry was being driven by a 44-year-old man from San Jose, with a 43-year-old woman passenger who tragically lost her life in the crash. The driver sustained injuries and was hospitalized, as were the drivers of the Hondas involved. The California Highway Patrol suspects the driver of the Camry was intoxicated at the time.
