Fatal accident near Whitefish results in one teenager's death and another injury
A tragic accident occurred near Whitefish early on Saturday morning resulting in the death of a teenage girl and injuries to another. The incident involved a Dodge Ram driven by a 20-year-old man with two 17-year-old passengers, which veered off the road and collided with trees. Sadly, the girl from Bigfork, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and passed away at the scene. The other passenger, a Kalispell resident, sustained injuries and was hospitalized. Fortunately, the driver escaped unhurt. Alcohol is believed to have played a role in this terrible crash, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
