A small aircraft experienced engine failure while flying between Tucson and Phoenix, resulting in a crash near the Casa Grande Municipal Airport on Friday afternoon, according to the local fire department. The pilot successfully attempted an emergency landing, though the plane overturned just outside the airport boundary. Emergency responders quickly reached the scene and found the single-engine plane upside down, with the pilot conscious and alert. They transported the pilot to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been informed and will investigate the incident. No other individuals were on board the aircraft. The pilot's identity has not been disclosed.
