Stolen car chase crash in Las Vegas sends 4 to hospital
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle ended in a crash that sent four people to the hospital Thursday evening in northwest Las Vegas. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, officers were alerted around 6:29 p.m. to an occupied stolen vehicle near Rampart Boulevard and Lake Mead Boulevard. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver refused to pull over, leading to a short pursuit. Police said the driver eventually lost control near Durango Drive and Gowan Road, crashing into another vehicle with one person inside. Four people were transported to the hospital with injuries described as varying in severity. Authorities have not released additional details on their conditions. The driver of the stolen vehicle was taken into custody at the scene. Police remain in the area investigating the crash, and traffic north of Durango and Gowan is expected to be impacted for several hours as crews work to clear the scene. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
