Speed and wet roads contributed to deadly Edinburg crash, police say

EDINBURG, Maine (WGME) -- A Maine man is dead after police say he lost control of his car and crashed on I-95 in Edinburg. According to Maine State Police, 61-year-old Bruce Ireland of Howland was driving at a high rate of speed on wet roads on Saturday around 7:50 p.m. near mile marker 210 when he lost control of his Honda Accord and entered a wooded median. Maine State Police are reminding drivers to exercise caution, allow extra time, and drive carefully, especially in inclement weather, such as heavy rain.
