A fatal accident involving four vehicles caused a section of South Carolina Highway 557 in York County, South Carolina, to be closed for over three hours on Tuesday night, as per officials. The incident happened at about 7 p.m., near Bethel Church Road, approximately four miles east of Clover. According to law enforcement, a 2000 Chevy sedan waiting to turn onto Bethel Church Road was struck from behind by a 2007 Ford SUV while traveling eastbound on SC 557, resulting in the Chevy overturning into the westbound lane.
