Somerset man hospitalized after allegedly causing fatal wrong-way crash on I-93
A Somerset man will be facing a judge after he allegedly caused a deadly crash on I-93 in Boston while driving the wrong way on the highway. According to Massachusetts State Police, just before midnight on Saturday, 81-year-old Antone Carvalho entered I-93 northbound at exit 15B and began driving south. Two other cars reportedly crashed into each other while swerving away from Carvalho's car, leading to four hospitalizations with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say that Carvalho got into a head-on collision with another car shortly after. The driver of that car, a man in his 20s from Haverhill, Mass. died in the crash. Carvalho was hospitalized, and will be issued a court summons at a later date.
