VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) -- Six people were injured, and a driver was charged, after a multi-vehicle crash on I-264 near First Colonial Road in Virginia Beach Saturday morning, according to the Virginia State Police. On June 27 at around 1:09 a.m., a Mazda 6 sedan rear-ended a Nissan Sentra while traveling at a high rate of speed. The crash forced the Sentra off the road and down into an embankment. The Mazda struck the guardrail on the road's left side and stopped partly in the roadway. A Mercedes sedan approached the crash, swerved to avoid it and went off the road's right side, hitting the guardrail. A Honda Civic then drove onto the scene and hit the Mazda. As a result of the crash, all westbound lanes on I-264 near First Colonial Road were closed, according to VDOT. A total of six people were left with non-life-threatening injuries. The Mazda's driver, Keiara Clark, 23, of Portsmouth, was charged with reckless driving. This crash is still under investigation.
