Serious multi-vehicle crash on Route 9 in Keene sends 7 to hospital
Seven individuals were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash on Sunday morning in Keene. The Keene Fire Department responded to a collision involving two vehicles and a motorcycle on Route 9, with a total of seven injured patients, one of whom was trapped. The incident triggered a level one multi-causality response to bring additional resources. The Jaws of Life were used to extract at least one person from the wreckage. Several individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment, including one by helicopter. Despite the severity of the crash, everyone involved was conscious and breathing. The incident is currently under investigation, with speed believed to be a contributing factor. The affected section of Route 9 has since reopened to traffic.
